B59-265 BENCH LEVEL. Queen & Co. Heavy 18" cast iron body with japanning and gold pinstriping; brass top plate with "Queen & Co. Philadelphia" engraved in script, 5" main vial and 1/2" cross vial. Mounted on a mahogany base. The "Queen & Co." mark puts it at between 1893 and 1912. An unusual level from the dean of Philadelphia instrument makers. From the collection of Dennis Fisher.
