B59-290 SIDE BEAD. N.W. Titcomb. 3/4", boxed, W.N. Starr & Co. iron. Very clear mark with a leaf logo and the date 1847 stamped on the toe. The only known plane with this mark, and the one described in AWP. There were several other Titcombs working in Massachusetts around this time, but how (or whether) this one was related is unknown. Small chip from the heel end of the boxing, otherwise like new. From the collection of Hank Allen. Fine 100-200
