B59-340 TRIANGULAR RABBET PLANE. Looks manufactured and something this weird deserved a patent, but it's unmarked and we've never seen one like it. The sole is shaped like a slice of pizza, 8" long, 5" wide at the heel, and 1-3/4" wide at the cutter. Adjustable cutter, brass lever cap with large thumb plate, handle-type tote. There are rabbet-type escapements on both cheeks. Presumably the pointed toe allowed the user to work into tight spaces and have it serve as a skew rabbet. From the collection of John Sindelar. Good+ 150-300
