B59-520 DOVETAIL PLANE. Stanley No. 444. One of Stanley's weirder planes, specifically designed to cut sliding dovetails. Most of these are found with their boxes, this one has (almost) all the parts but is missing the box. The nickel on the body, fence and depth stop is about 90%, with fading and a couple of small spots of peeling. Includes one of the two nicker blocks and all four cutters which, unlike the body, are bright and shiny. Also includes the original instruction book. Alas, missing the model dovetail that Stanley included in case anyone didn't know what a dovetail was. Good 250-450
