B59-538 ADJUSTABLE FENCE PLOW PLANE. Sandusky Scissor Arm. Patented by Ellis Morris of Canton, Ohio, in 1871, and manufactured by Sandusky, unmarked but unmistakable. This is the version with the wider throat with thumbscrew cutter clamp (broken off) and the separate throat for a nicker, nicker missing as always. The beech tote and wedge have normal wear but no damage, there's no japanning left and the metal has a uniform coat of surface rust but no pitting, works smoothly. Good 500-1000
