York2023-95 EUROPEAN LONG FILLETSTER. 38-1/2" long, 1" filletster bed, flatiron rear grip, there's one carved wooden peg type grip in front of the throat and a hole near the toe that probably held another. Decorative shape and overall chip carving with the initials "SAI" and the date "1785" in fancy letters and numerals. End of the wedge broken and several large splits in the wood, but a very attractive old plane. From the collection of Cliff Sapienza. Good 200-400
