TC25-181 TROUGH COMPASS. Unsigned but with French markings. 5-1/2" needle mounted in 7-1/2" by 3-3/4" mahogany box with brass corners and sliding lid. Paper card behind the needle, and copper gauges at both ends. Looks to date to the early nineteenth century. A few scratches in the glass cover but otherwise very clean. Beautifully made.
