TC25-194 PATENT APPLIED FOR PLANE. Freimann. We've seen a couple of other examples of this plane, but have no idea whether the patent was ever granted, or even what exactly it does. It looks like a grooving plane, but has two separate adjustable fences both of which pivot upward. 12" long, brass body partially nickel plated, with the name "Freimann" boldly cast into both sides of the tote. "Model D #414" is stamped into the top of the left fence. A drawing of an aluminum plane with the same markings, and a serrated saw-type cutter that was intended for use as a weatherstripping plane, is shown in Figure 485 of PTAMPIA II, and is said to have been made by one Otto Freimann of Brooklyn in the 1920s. From the collection of Harold Unruh. Good 100-200
