B67-118 FIGURAL CARVED SMOOTHING PLANE. 13" long with 1-3/16" cutter. The tote and knob are both carved with a rear-facing head; the knob is a lion and the tote is a human. A coarse grained dark wood that is a little soft so it has wear, but no damage. Eighteenth century or even earlier and very attractive. From the collection of Steve Dice. Good+ 200-400
