B67-119 COOPER'S HEAD CUTTER. Designed to simultaneously cut and chamfer the head for barrels in dry cooperage. See Whelan, page 329. Unsigned and probably made by a cooper for his own use, 26" long with a sliding point to cut heads of different diameters. Made of a dense dark wood, with brass plates. Well made and unusual. From the John Lervoog collection of cooper's tools. Good+ 100-200
