B67-240 CABINET SCRAPER. Ellis Patent. Very rare example of the all-metal scraper patented 1/3/05 by James Ellis of Cleveland. The cutter is clamped between the two halves of the solid metal body for greater stability, and a separate screw can be used to put a bow into the cutter. Rosewood handles are threaded onto a rod for easy removal and storage. Has "Ellis" and "303" into the body. Nickel plating worn but no peeling, wood good. Not listed in PTAMPIA and rated R1 (fewer than five examples) in Blanchard and Larson. From the collection of Harold Unruh. Good+ 300-600
