B67-353 SHOOT BOARD PLANE. Bailey Split Frame. Series D split frame with the cam-locked lever cap, early type without the banjo spring, knob attached with a machine screw screwed into a raised boss on the frame. The 2-1/2" Moulson Bros. cutter has two holes tapped into it which don't serve any obvious function. 16" sole. Wood very clean, metal is oxidized but with no rust or pitting. The shoot board is the rarest configuration of the split frames; there's a Series C example shown in Figure 1-26 of Van Pernis & Wells, but this is the first Series D we've seen.
