B67-511 SMOOTHING PLANE. Bailey Tool Co. Based on Joseph Bailey's 1871 patent for the cam lever cap. The plane shown in PTAMPIA I, Figure 67, with an 8-1/2" sole and 2" proper marked Battleaxe cutter. Rust and light pitting on sole and both cheeks, wood fine, traces of japanning.
