B67-713 CUSTOMS CUBING RULE. Henry Hughes & Son. Based on E.A.P. Burt's 1887 patent, a Coggeshall type slide rule used by British customs & excise to measure the volume of irregularly shaped timber and stone in cubic feet. Boxwood, 24" long, marked "British Customs Standard Cubing Rule," also marked with Burt's patent information and Hughes as the maker. Some superficial scratches but no damage, all scales clear. Good+ 150-300
