B68-171 SMOOTHING PLANE. Ohio Tool Co. No. O1C. The only No. 1 size plane that was made with a corrugated sole. Proper Globe cutter with unusual hexagonal cutout on backside, solid adjusting nut, tote and knob have mild wear, japanning 95%. Lever cap is a well-made replacement with filing marks on sides, tote may also be replacement. Still an uncommon example. From the collection of Harold Unruh. Good- 2000-4000
