George Mosher was a Stanley employee who ripped off the basic Bailey design, changed it just enough to get his own patent, and started the Birmingham Plane Co. which became better known for its T-shaped rabbet planes. These so-called "B Planes", marked with "B Plane Co" and the patent date, were manufactured only for a couple of years and are scarce. The No. 2 size is particularly rare.
