B59-603 SPLIT IVORY NUT PLOW PLANE. D.R. Barton/Greenfield Tool Co. Marked by Barton (E mark) but made by Greenfield and marked No. 537 on the toe. Body, fence and wedge are rosewood with a very light, attractive grain, boxwood arms and locking nuts, sandwich rosewood and ivory outer nuts, ivory tips. There is some wear to the fence; a tight crack that runs the length and some chips on the underside, but otherwise immaculate with complete threads, ivory has some checks but complete. An absolutely stunning plane, shown in pages 12-13 of Rosebrook and Fisher. Fine 2000-4000
